Beginning with summer 2016 courses, an upgraded version of the Blackboard Learning Management System (version 9.1) will be available on a new hardware platform.
New features include:
- student preview mode for faculty (allows the instructor to navigate the course as a student, including submission of assignments and tests)
- delegated grading (allows the instructor to assign grading groups of students to teaching assistants or graders within the course)
- inline grading (allows the instructor to see the assignment submission on screen and include annotation and mark-up without having to download the file)
- improvements to a number of Blackboard tools, including Qwickly and Date Manager
Training sessions on the new features will be held on April 19 and April 22. Space is limited and a light lunch will be provided.
Visit the Blackboard Upgrade webpage for details about the migration of prior courses and when you will be able to access your account in the new system.
