The URID is a unique 8-digit number generated and assigned to all users for whom the University and its affiliates wish to maintain identity information. The URID is generated by the Unique ID System, which is managed by University IT.
For students, the URID is also considered the Student ID and can be referred to as their University ID.
How to Find Your URID
- Faculty & Staff: Log in to myURHR or contact your Human Resources department. (The URID is different from your employee ID)
- Access Your Profile: Log in to Workday through myURHR and navigate to your worker profile. This is typically done from the Workday Home Page by selecting “View Profile.”
- Navigate to Personal Information: Once in your profile, look for the “Personal” section in the left-hand navigation pane.
- Locate the IDs Tab: Select the “IDs” tab within the Personal section. Various identification numbers, including your URID, may be listed here.
- Students: Student ID numbers can be found by logging into UR Student and accessing the summary tab on your profile page.
- Guests: Contact the sponsor of your guest (sponsored) account.
