Connect to eduroam on Android Device

This tutorial provides set-up instructions for connecting to the eduroam using an Android mobile device.

Step 1

Select Settings.

Select Network & internet

Step 3

Select Wi-Fi

Step 4

Select eduroam.

CA certificate: Use system certificates

Step 6

Domain: rochester.edu

Step 7

For Identity, use your Active Directory account. The Anonymous identity field should be left blank.

Be aware that the login credentials may look different than you are used to.

  • For UR credentials:
    • Identity = ur\\\[UR AD username]@rochester.edu

(Example: ur
jgreen@rochester.edu)

  • For URMC credentials:
    • Identity = urmc-sh\\\[URMC AD username]@rochester.edu

(Example: urmc-sh
jgreen@rochester.edu)
