As part of the University’s migration from NetID to Active Directory Authentication, beginning July 17th, University Box accounts will require your AD username and password to log in. URMC Box users will continue to use the same credentials they always have.

In place of the old prompt to choose between UR NetID and URMC accounts, you will now be prompted with the familiar AD login where you will select between UR and URMC Active Directory.

This change will have no impact on your current connections to Box using Box Drive or other Box applications. However, you will now be required to use Duo to connect to Box if you are not connected to the University network. In addition, as an added security measure, if you are sharing content with individuals OUTSIDE of UR or URMC, they will now be required to use 2FA Two Factor Authentication to access the shared files.
