The University of Rochester’s “Data Security Awareness Campaign” has been awarded a 2008 Award of Excellence in General Service Campaign Materials by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Special Interest Group on University and College Computing Services (SIGUCCS).
The “Data Security Awareness Campaign” features colorful and edgy postcards filled with data security tips, along with a similarly-themed 12-month calendar.
The awards recognize excellence in developing useful and appealing materials to enhance user services. The judge for University IT’s winning category liked the multiple postcards and that the calendar reminds staff of computer security all year round, not just in October, which is National Cyber Security Awareness Month.
