Gradescope – Duplicate Accounts
You may not be able to see a course in Gradescope. It’s possible your identity is duplicated, or you KNOW it is duplicated because you have two different email addresses associated with your Gradescope.com courses over the years.
If you have access to BOTH email addresses, you can merge your accounts yourself. Instructions
If you no longer have access to one of the email addresses, you can request that the vendor merge your accounts.
Steps:
- Send Email: help@gradescope.com
- Subject: I Need to Merge email addresses
- Body: I don’t have access to the original email address. But I am requesting that these email addresses be merge
- Primary Email – username@u.rochester.edu, or username@ur.rochester.edu
- Old address – (ex.) something@gmail.com or other email address that may exist
*NOTE: If you make this merge request from your CURRENT Rochester email account, Gradescope will have some assurance of your identity, and will perform the merge. However, you will be contacted by Gradescope to confirm this is what you want! Then they will merge the two identities, only when you reply back that all is correct and you want the merge performed. So be on the lookout, be vigilant and reply back to any email from @gradescope.com
