New phone? Enroll in Duo for access to University resources

The holiday season is a popular time to receive new mobile devices. If you get a new phone or tablet, you will need to enroll in Duo to access the university resources you need. Learn how to set up Duo on your new device. If you are off campus and not on the University network, you will need to contact the University IT Help Desk at (585) 275-2000 or the ISD Help Desk at (585) 275-3200 for assistance. Note that if you plan to sell, donate, or dispose of your former device, you’ll need to defer to Apple’s or Google’s instructions to ensure you reset the device properly.

Passwords are the primary vulnerabilities that cause data breaches within companies because employees continue to use easy-to-guess credentials. Whether or not you’re still going strong with those New Year’s resolutions, scammers are taking advantage. Targeting the most popular resolutions, these scammers promise fishy incentives to lure you in. From improvements to your health and wellness or ways to give to a community cause, read the fine print and be wary of anything seeming too good to be true. The Better Business Bureau has compiled a list of helpful resolutions for a fraud-free new year.
