Beginning October 1st, University IT and ISD will begin to apply a new storage quota of 45 GB for all M365 email mailboxes to ensure our cloud mail service’s optimal performance and security.
Most individuals are well below the new quota range and will see no impact. Those above the new quota will receive an email warning and tips on decreasing the size of their inbox before the quota is applied. Exceptions to these quotas will be only granted on a limited case-by-case basis.
With a storage limit of 45 GB, you will receive a warning like the one below once you reach 36 GB of space used, and you will need to clean up your mailbox.
If you do not act, once you reach the 45 GB limit, you will be unable to send or receive new emails until your mailbox is below the quota.
