Two additional resources that support information technology research and analysis are available to the University community through River Campus Libraries.
The result of a collaborative partnership among University IT, Information Systems Division in the Medical Center, and River Campus Libraries, the online research database Gartner is now accessible to all faculty, staff, and students. Reports on IT services, strategies, governance, and best practices are searchable by market, topic, or industry. The database also maintains case studies of industry trends and the effects of IT on businesses, government agencies, and technology investors.
Gartner features a service called My Alerts, which will automatically send the latest research on chosen trends and events via email or RSS feed.
The University’s subscription extends access to all Gartner webinars as well, including an archive of past presentations that are available for download.
Also available starting this month is Safari Tech Books Online, a digital library of titles about information technology. Its more than 12,400 books and 700 videos cover topics from software development to digital media.
Gartner, Safari Tech Books Online, and other IT resources are accessible through the Libraries’ information technology subject guide.
