The University’s SAS license may be used for:

  • Academic instruction

Eligible users may install SAS on both University-owned and personally owned computers.

Licensing Restrictions

The University’s SAS license does not permit use for:

  • Institutional research
  • Administrative operations
  • University business functions
  • Healthcare operations or patient care
  • Sponsored research activities covered outside the academic license scope
  • Other non-academic operational uses

University staff who are participating in institutional research and other administrative uses can contact SAS.

How To Get A Copy

School of Medicine and Dentistry Faculty, Staff, and Students can access SAS here. (Must be on the URMC network to access the page.) If you need assistance with installation, contact: smdithelp@urmc.rochester.edu

All others:

A license covers either a single user (may install on more than one computer if you are the sole user of each installation) or a single computer if it has more than one user.

SAS 9.4 is the latest version.

Open folder

Open “setup.exe” and follow directions

SID file required for activation. Contact UR Tech Store for file.

Cost

Cost $0 – SAS and Hajim faculty, staff and students, SMD faculty, staff and students, Simon School faculty, staff and students.
$124 – All other faculty and students.
$1,200 – SAS for sponsored academic research.

Payment may be made by Web Requisition, 312 requisition or emailing FAO (university account number)
