Summary Description of the Change and the Impact of this Change on Users
Systems Management will be deploying the Windows 10 Feature Update version 20H2 to approximately 252 University IT Windows 10 workstations over 3 days. This update will target systems with Windows 10 version 1909 and older.
The update will install in the background and does not require user interaction. Targeted systems will not automatically reboot as part of this deployment, however a reboot is required in order for installation to complete.
Once the system is ready to be rebooted, end users will receive a notification prompt until a reboot has occurred. A sample of the screenshot is located here:

Any machine not online at the deployment deadline time will begin the upgrade within one hour of coming back on the network. Please note – certain conditions or configurations of a system may prevent installation of this feature update until a future date.

Reason for the Change
Older versions of Windows 10 will soon be considered “End of Life” and will require the feature update installation in order to continue to receive security patches.
