What is myURHR and what do I use it for?
myURHR is the University’s Human Resources information system, powered by Workday and UKG, two market-leading software programs.
- myURHR Workday is used for most Human Resources actions, such as editing personal information, viewing payslips and tax documents, hiring, staff recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compensation and job changes. Those who use Workday for other functions (UR Student, UR Finance, Procurement and Travel and Expense), will continue to do so. The log in is the same for all Workday functions.
- myURHR UKG is used for timekeeping, hourly staff time entry, staff time off requests, and leave management. Some clinical units also use UKG for scheduling and that will continue with the same log in.
How do I log in to myURHR Workday and UKG?
Visit the myURHR landing page for easy access to log in.
How is training assigned to new employees in MyPath?
New employees, including student employees, will automatically be assigned the myURHR Core Concepts trainings (which includes time entry). New managers will automatically be assigned the myURHR manager trainings. Departments with new individuals who will hold an advanced role in myURHR should utilize the Authorization Request Application process in Workday to have appropriate roles assigned in Workday and UKG. Once those role assignments are made, training specific to those roles will be assigned to them in MyPath.
What are security roles within myURHR and how do I request one?
Security roles help to determine what you can view in myURHR, such as reports, data, and other information. They also help to determine the tasks, processes, and transactions you are able to perform in myURHR.
Security roles are tied to positions, not each employee, which means several people may have the same security role. Multiple security roles may be assigned to an employee, depending on their job responsibilities.
If you or someone in your department requires a security role, please utilize the Authorization Request Application.
Do faculty use myURHR Workday and myURHR UKG?

Are mobile apps available for Workday and UKG?
While mobile apps are available for myURHR Workday (HR-related tasks) and UKG (time entry, timekeeping, and scheduling for certain departments), the University of Rochester and myURHR project team recommend employees leverage the primary web platforms for accessing the systems.
Employees who decide to download and use the Workday and/or UKG app(s) must be aware of the following:
- Given that mobile apps are managed and updated by outside vendors, the myURHR support team can only provide best-effort assistance with mobile app troubleshooting and escalating to vendors. The team provides priority support for non-mobile applications (e.g. web versions).
- Employees should follow their department’s guidelines for HR-related functions and for when/how they are performed, e.g. the method they use for time entry, vacation requests, etc.
